In Thursday's edition of ANZ Bloodstock News, Connections of star colt The Autumn Sun are unlikely to be swayed from their original plans by the introduction of the $7.5 million The Golden Eagle - a new race for for-year-olds which was announced by Racing NSW on Wednesday.
Elsewhere, Widden and Cambridge Stud continued their spending sprees at the Tattersalls December Mare sale as seven lots generated seven figure sums, while Silvestre de Sousa emerged on top at the International Jockey's Championships at Happy Valley.
