All-female syndicate has first runner in Europe with Chicas Amigas
Two-year old Dragon Pulse filly is trained by Jessica Harrington
The It's All About The Girls syndicate will cross new frontiers when sending out its first runner in Europe when the Jessica Harrington-trained Chicas Amigas takes her place in the six-runner juvenile maiden over 6f at Dundalk on Wednesday (6.00).
There are 30 members from five different countries in the first-ever Irish syndicate for the group which has enjoyed success with dual Group 1 winner Global Glamour in Australia and the Grade 3-placed Our Majesty in the US.
"The syndicate is most excited about its first runner in Europe," said Elaine 'Legs' Lawlor of Goffs, who co-founded the Irish element of the syndicate with Anna Seitz of Fasig-Tipton.
"Chicas Amigas has been training very well and Jessie is very pleased with her - but it is a hot maiden!
"The main reason for us putting this syndicate together is to have fun. It is also an inexpensive way to introduce new people to this fabulous sport."
Bred by the Irish National Stud, Chicas Amigas was a €25,000 Goffs Orby yearling purchase and is a granddaughter of the dual Listed-placed Red Peony.
Her five opponents are all unraced colts and she could be given most to do by Scat Daddy colt Empire State, a $275,000 Keeneland September yearling purchase, while freshman sire No Nay Never is represented by Eagle Song in the same contest.
