Ed Prosser assumed responsibility for reporting from British bloodstock sales for the Racing Post in 1998 – the same year that Google was founded and Apple launched the iMac computer to market, and as the dotcom bubble was at its most swollen and about to burst – and yet his memories of the time are strangely sepia-tinted.
