The additions include the progeny of Cape Cross, Getaway and Oscar

Tattersalls Ireland host the Cheltenham December Sale on Friday

Tattersalls Ireland stage the Cheltenham December Sale on Friday, and the catalogue has been boosted by the addition of 21 wildcard entries. The sale, from which the ill-fated Champion Bumper winner Fayonagh emerged in 2016, begins at 4.30pm at the conclusion of racing at Prestbury Park.

Among the wildcard entries is Oriental Cross (Lot 14), a beautifully bred four-year-old daughter of Cape Cross. Having been placed on her debut she then progressed to win a bumper at Lingfield Park on December 5.

Young and exciting sire Getaway will be represented by Press Conference (21). A half-brother to Lambro, he was an eye-catcher when winning at Boulta last weekend for John Murphy.

Downtown Getaway (25) is one to watch following a very impressive 12 length winning appearance in a Fairyhouse bumper on December 3 for Mags Mullins.

Trevelyn’s Corn (40), a son of Oscar, made a big impression when winning by seven lengths on debut at Borris House for Colin Bowe.

The catalogue also includes 30 National Hunt breeze-up horses meaning a number of leading stallions will be represented, including Milan, Voix Du Nord, and Flemensfirth.

The breeze-up will take place at 8.30 on the morning of the sale and will be videoed and available to view online at:
