Bucklands Stud’s Roisin Close is to relocate to Worcestershire and set up a new site, Chapel Stud Ltd, from where she will continue to stand Hellvelyn, Coach House and Pearl Secret.

The stallions, who currently stand at Close’s Gloucestershire farm, will remain at stud fees of £3,000, £3,000 and £4,000 respectively, and will be at Chapel Stud for viewing from January.

Services at the new complex will also include foaling, breaking, sales prep, spelling, and facilities for boarding and walk-in mares.

Close said: "We look forward to welcoming breeders to our new state of the art stud and accessible location, where we will continue to offer a professional, affordable and personal service that we have become known for when based at Bucklands Farm.”

Based near the Malvern Hills and close to the River Terne on over 70 acres of established prime pasture land, the extensive barns and outbuildings at Chapel Stud are being converted into around 50 internal stables for mares and young stock.

The stables will have direct access onto a large covered turnout, stallion boxes with attached covering shed and a seven-horse oval horse walker.

There is also access to a further 40 acres of grazing land immediately surrounding the stud, while the house on site is being completely renovated into living accommodation and an office.
