7-2 Yorkshire lead way as t20 last eight are settled

YORKSHIRE are 7-2 favourites for the Friends Life t20 after Sunday’s final round of group matches confirmed the quarter-final line-up for later this month.

North Group winners ­Yorkshire face Worcestershire in the last eight while 4-1 second-favourites Sussex, who topped the South section play Gloucestershire.

Essex go to 9-2 Somerset, who claimed the Midlands/Wales/West spoils with their win over Worcs, and Notts and Hampshire will do battle at Trent Bridge.

Warwickshire were the day’s big losers as they were 8-15 to beat ­Glamorgan but defeat in a rain-shortened match denied them a quarter-final spot.
