Yaya earns City a point but United shorten

MANCHESTER CITY missed the opportunity to open a gap at the top of the Premier League last night as they were held to a 1-1 draw at Stoke.

The Citizens had a Yaya Toure goal to thank for earning them a point
at the Britannia Stadium, which means they head Manchester United on goal difference.

Roberto Mancini’s side are 11-5 for the title with Boylesports, while
United, who entertain Fulham tomorrow, are 4-11.

Arsenal were able to tighten their grip on third spot as they beat
Aston Villa 3-0 while their nearest challengers Tottenham and Chelsea played out a goalless draw at Stamford Bridge.

The Gunners are three points ahead of Spurs and are 1-8 with Coral to secure a Champions League spot with Tottenham 1-5.

Roberto Di Matteo’s side, who are five points behind Tottenham with
eight matches remaining, are 11-4 with Ladbrokes to claim a top-four
spot.

While Bolton won 2-1 at home to Blackburn to climb out of the  bottom three,the big winners at the bottom of the table were Wigan, who sprang a 12-1 surprise by winning 2-1 at Liverpool.

That meant the Latics were pushed out to 2-5 for the drop, with
Wolves, who lost 2-1 at Norwich, 1-7 with Hillsto be playing in the
Championship next season.

QPR fell into the bottom three after Djibril Cisse was sent off in a
3-0 defeat at Sunderland and they are 1-2 with Ladbrokes to make an
immediate return to the second tier.

Their defeat against Wigan was Liverpool’s second home defeat of the
season but their fifth loss in their last six league matches.

Kenny Dalglish is 4-6 with Ladbrokes tostill be in charge at Anfield
at the beginning of next season while Boylesports go 2-1 that the
legend will have left the club by that time.
