Ian Poulter and Nicolas Colsaerts are the European wild-card picks
Wild-card Poulter 7-1 to be top European scorer
IAN POULTER is 7-1 to be top European points scorer at the Ryder Cup after he and Nicolas Colsaerts were named as Jose Maria Olazabal's wild-card picks.
Sunday's Johnnie Walker Championship results saw Martin Kaymer secure the final automatic qualifying position and though Belgian bomber Colsaerts just missed out, he was still handed a debut.
Poulter can be expected to resume his successful partnership with pal Justin Rose on his fourth appearance, while Colsaerts is 25-1 with Paddy Power to collect most points.
Rory McIlroy is 6-1 favourite to be the European main man, with Luke Donald 13-2.
Europe are the 6-4 underdogs for the clash at Medinah Country Club, which takes place from September 28-30. The United States are 5-6 with the tie 11-1.
