Wembley winners West Ham 8-11 to stay in Prem

WEST HAM are 8-11 with Hills to still be in the Premier League this time next year after winning an exciting and evenly-balanced Championship play-off final against Blackpool at Wembley 2-1 on Saturday.

Ricardo Vaz Te scored the Hammers' winner in the 87th minute from close range after the Tangerines' Tom Ince had cancelled out Carlton Cole's opener.

And bet365 make Sam Allardyce's side 3-1  sixth-favourites for relegation next season behind not only Championship-winners Reading and runners-up Southampton (both at 11-10) but Wigan, Norwich and Swansea (6-4, 7-4 and 9-4 respectively).

All three promoted clubs stayed up this season and bet365 make that eventuality 4-1 in their special. One returnee is a 5-4 favourite while two is available at 11-8. All three for the drop is the 16-1 outsider.

Blackpool boss Ian Holloway can only be proud of how his players performed in vain and Ladbrokes are as short as 12-1 about the Seasiders winning in the Championship next season. Coral have chalked up 7-2 about Blackpool being promoted.

Hills have Leicester as 6-1 favourites for the Championship title with Bolton and Wolves at 8-1 and Birmingham, Cardiff, Brighton and Leeds all above 16-1 Blackpool in their lists (and Blackburn also at 16-1).

Ladbrokes though have Bolton as 6-1 title favourites and only Wolves and Leicester at 7-1 above the Tangerines.
