Tiger burns bright in pursuit of Major glory
TIGER WOODS is no bigger than 6-4 to win the US Open after his second-round 70 gave him a share of the lead at half-distance.
Woods, chasing his first Major title since 2008, is tied for the lead at one-under with Jim Furyk and David Toms, themselves both former Major champions.
Furyk is 5-1 across the boards and Toms a general 10-1 shot, while Graeme McDowell is next in the betting at 14-1. The Northern Irishman sits two shots off the leading trio.
Defending champion Rory McIlroy's recent struggles continued as he missed the cut by two shots after battling to a second-round 73.
