Tiger 11-4 for US Open after solid San Fran start

TIGER WOODS is a standout 11-4 favourite with bet365 in the US Open betting going into day two at the Olympic Club after carding an opening-round 69 to lie three shots behind four-under par leader Michael Thompson.

Woods's nearest rival in the betting is Justin Rose, who also carded a 69 to start with in San Francisco, at 17-2 with bet365.

And the duo are followed in the market by Matt Kuchar (level par) at 14-1 (Betfred and Blue Square) and Graeme McDowell (one under) and Jim Furyk (level) at 16-1.

Lee Westwood, at three over, is 20-1 with Ladbrokes, who offer a standout 25-1 about Nick Watney (one under). Ian Poulter (level) and Thompson are also 25-1 shots.

Only ten players opened up with scores of level par or under.
