Taylor 10-1 to top score on debut against Proteas
NOTTINGHAMSHIRE batsman James Taylor has been called up to the England squad for the second Test against South Africa, starting on Thursday, after Ravi Bopara withdrew for personal reasons.
England are 7-5 to level the three-match series at 1-1 with a victory at Headingley and the highly-rated Taylor, who has captained England Lions and played an ODI against Ireland last year, could make his debut at No. 6 in the batting order.
The Notts man is 10-1 with Ladbrokes to top-score for England in the first innings but he will be facing a confident South Africa side who won the first Test at The Oval by an innings and 12 runs. The Proteas are 9-4 to seal the series with a victory in Leeds while the draw is also a 9-4 shot.
