Stunned Proteas 5-2 to shock England next year

AUSTRALIA won a thrilling second Test against South Africa by two wickets on Monday to square the two-match series and the game was a cracker for in-play punters.

A victory target of 310 looked a tall order for the Aussies, who were rolled over for just 47 in the second innings of the first Test in Cape Town, especially with Ricky Ponting, Michael Clarke and Mike Hussey back in the hutch and 95 runs still required.

Bet365 punters kept faith with the tourists, however, and the firm’s spokesman Steve Freeth said: “Turnover was excellent but we’ve done our dough in-play.

“Our customers who have backed the Aussies at all rates down from 9-1 during their run- chase have landed a nice touch.”

The draw traded at a low of 1.3 on Betdaq while South Africa were backed at 1.78 on a tense final day at the Wanderers.

The Proteas tour England next summer and Bet365 make them 5-2 to win the series against the world’s No. 1-ranked Test team.

England are8-11 to win the three-match series while a draw is a 7-2 chance.
