Sarries 6-4 for more HQ glory after Quins success
CHAMPIONS Saracens are 6-4 favourites with Coral to triumph again at Twickenham in May’s Grand Final after they beat Harlequins 19-11 at a sold-out HQ on Tuesday to end the leaders’ ten-game winning start to the Aviva Premiership campaign.
A ferocious first-half display by second-placed Sarries’ pack – they led 19-6 at the break on the back of a converted David Strettle try and four Owen Farrell penalties – laid the platform for success.
Early in the second-half prop Joe Marler crossed for Quins and Saracens were forced to make double Quins number of tackles.
Harlequins, with a five-point lead at the halfway stage of the regular season, are 3-1 for Grand Final glory. That is the same price as Leicester, who moved up to fifth with their bonus point win at Worcester.
But the play-off picture (the top four qualify) is far from clear with three points separating London Irish in third from eighth-placed Exeter.
