RVP 4-6 to make City switch from Gunners

ARSENAL have admitted receiving bids for their star striker Robin van Persie, who is 2-7 with Hills to move elsewhere before the start of the season and 5-2 to stay put.

Manchester City continue to be strongly linked with a move for the player and are the 4-6 favourites in Hills market on Van Persie's next club. The Dutchman is 5-2 to join Juventus and 5-1 to seal a switch to Manchester United.

Watford have been linked with a move for three 2006 World Cup winners – Italian strikers Filippo Inzaghi, Alessandro del Piero and Vincenzo Iaquinta but may have their work cut out to sign any of them.

Inzaghi and Del Piero are rated outside bets – they are both 9-2 with Hills to join the Hornets and 1-8 not to - but the speculation over Juventus striker Iaquinta may be more credible with Hills offering 5-2 about him moving to Vicarage Road and 2-7 that he doesn't.

Watford had also been linked with a possible move for out of contract Hungarian forward Marko Futacs but were beaten to the punch by Leicester, who signed the player on a three-year deal on Wednesday.

Crawley manager Sean O'Driscoll has become the latest big mover in the next Nottingham Forest manager market.

The 55-year-old's odds have tumbled from a best-priced 66-1 to 3-1 since Tuesday night but Glenn Hoddle remained the market leader on Wednesday night at 11-8.
