It's Rovers and out
for Kean's Blackburn

BLACKBURN slumped out of the Premier League with a drab 1-0 home defeat against Wigan on Monday night which leaves onlyone relegation place to be resolved on the final day of the season.

Steve Kean’s side could not secure the victory they needed at Ewood Park and a late Antolin Alcaraz header saw them join Wolves in waving goodbye to the topflight.

Ladbrokes make Blackburn 10-1 to win the Championship next season and 5-2 to be promoted, but Hills take a more negative view of their prospects and offer 16-1 and 4-1.

The win made Wigan safe from relegation themselves, leaving Bolton and QPR to fight for survival on the last day.

Bolton, 4-11 to go down, need to win at Stoke to have any chance but if they are successful the Hoops (9-4 for the drop) will need to take something from their last game against title-chasing Manchester City.

Hills make Rovers boss Steve Kean 1-5 to have lost his job by the first game of next season and 10-3 to take charge of their first Championship game.

And the firm have priced up some player specials too. Keeper Paul Robinson is 1-2 to have left Ewood Park and 6-4 to still be there. Midfielder David Dunn is 8-13 to leave and 6-5 to stay. Striker Yakubu can be backed at 5-6 to remain or go. And defender Scott Dann is 8-13 to stay and 6-5 to depart.
