Hamilton 10-11 to claim Monza success from pole
LEWIS HAMILTON is 10-11 to win Sunday's Italian Grand Prix after he bagged pole position as McLaren dominated qualifying at Monza on Saturday.
Teammate Button is alongside him on the front row and, having shown good pace throughout practice and qualifying, is 5-2 to follow up last week's Belgian Grand Prix success and continue his bid to put a poor first half of the season well and truly behind him.
Hills are evens from 7-1 on Thursday about a McLaren 1-2. Ladbrokes offer just 4-6 about the Button-Hamilton dual forecast.
Championship leader Fernando Alonso had looked primed for a prominent place on the grid but a mechanical failure sees the Spaniard starting from tenth place.
Ladbrokes are offering a standout 25-1 for the Ferrari man to make a miraculous recovery, with Coral as short as 12-1.
Reigning champion Sebastian Vettel is Alonso's closest pursuer in the drivers standings and, after qualifying in fifth, he will be confident of reducing the 24-point gap. Vettel is 18-1 with bet365 to win the race and 11-4 with the firm to be on the podium.
Paul Di Resta was fourth fastest but he has been shuffled back five places because of a gearbox change and is 16-1 with Betfred to make the podium.
