Mighty Magpies 3-1 to land a top-four finish

NEWCASTLE and Tottenham boosted their hopes of Champions League places as the Magpies beat Chelsea 2-0 while Spurs won 4-1 at Bolton.

The results took the pair one point behind third-placed Arsenal with two games left and Newcastle are no bigger than 3-1 for a top-four finish after a sublime double from Papiss Cisse.

The Magpies star now has 13 goals in 12 matches and is 12-1 from 20-1 with Ladbrokes to win the golden boot next season. The same firm make his second strike evens to be named goal of the season.

Chelsea’s best hope of making the Champions League next year
is now to beat Bayern Munich in this season’s final, which would deny the team finishing fourth a place in the top competition.

Bolton’s heavy home defeat left them in the Premier League drop zone and Owen Coyle’s side are 10-11, along with QPR, to go down. Arsenal are 2-5 with Hills to keep hold of third spot.
