Masters champion Bubba 33-1 for US Open
BUBBA WATSON, the 55-1 winner of the Masters at Augusta, is 33-1 to follow up in the US Open in June.
Watson moved up to fourth in the world rankings with his maiden Major victory, which means there have now been 14 consecutive different winners of golf's elite four events.
The American triumphed on the second hole of a play-off against South Africa's Louis Oosthuizen after both found trouble off the tee. Oosthuizen, a former Open winner, was a 90-1 shot for this event.
Phil Mickelson, who began the final round as the 13-8 favourite, finished two behind the leading pair, counting the cost of a triple-bogey six at the par-three fourth hole.
Mickelson, an ante-post 13-1 chance, shared third place with 22-1 Lee Westwood, 66-1 Matt Kuchar and 200-1 Peter Hanson, who never got going on Sunday after leading overnight.
Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods are 8-1 favourites for the US Open, with Mickelson 12-1 and Westwood 16-1.
