Magpies 9-1 for top-four spot after Swans success
NEWCASTLE are 9-1 with Hills to finish in the Premier League’s top four after a superb 2-0 win at Swansea.
Papiss Cisse was once again the hero for the Toon Army, opening the scoring with just five minutes on the clock and he added a brilliant second on the break following a sustained period of attacking from the hosts.
Cisse has now scored nine goals in just eight appearances since signing from Bundesliga strugglers Freiburg in January.
The result means Newcastle are just two points off third place and now have a realistic shot of playing Champions League football next season, although Alan Pardew’s team do have a tricky run in with away trips to Chelsea and Everton still to come as well as a home date with Manchester City.
