Mackay is early mover in next Norwich boss lists

Norwich have rejected the attempted resignation of their manager Paul Lambert, who is a target for Aston Villa.

However, the Scot is widely expected to seal a move to Villa Park and bookmakers are already betting on the identity of Lambert's successor at Carrow Road.

Cardiff boss Malky Mackay has been the early market mover with his
best-priced odds contracting from 12-1 to 7-4.

However, Mackay, a former Norwich player, may face competition from Birmingham manager Chris Hughton, who is a 5-2 chance.
