Ace Potteries darts duo headline week 11 at BIC
ADRIAN LEWIS keeps talking a good Premier League – but he could be three points adrift of the play-offs and heading for an early exit if he loses to Phil Taylor in Bournemouth on Thursday night.
Double world champion Lewis was a 7-2 shot for glory after becoming the only arrowsmith so far to take a point off Taylor in a spellbinding 7-7 draw on the tournament’s opening night in February.
Since then, however, Lewis has blown hot and cold while Taylor has won nine matches in a row and Jackpot has drifted to 9-1 to
land the title.
But still Lewis insistshe can beat The Power and go on to add the Premier League trophy to his world championship, even though he is outside the play-offs with just four rounds to go.
“I believe in myself and I’m raring to go,” he said. “I’ve turned Phil over before and I can do it again.”
Raymond van Barneveld and Simon Whitlock kick off the evening’s jousting at the BIC while Kevin Painter tackles Gary Anderson and James Wade meets Andy Hamilton.
