Leaders Chelsea 2-1 to stay unbeaten longest
FOUR of the traditional big six will slug it out against each other in a mouth-watering super Sunday, but on Saturday two of the Premier League's fast starters get a chance to put their name up in lights as Swansea take on Everton at the Liberty Stadium.
Both teams have taken seven points from their four matches and a win for either could take them up to the dizzy heights of second.
However, leaders Chelsea have the best chance to take a firm grip on the championship as they bid to extend their advantage over Manchester United, champions Manchester City and Arsenal.
Two of the top flight’s five remaining unbeaten teams meet at Stamford Bridge with the Blues, the early pacesetters, expected to keep up their run.
Paddy Power rate the Blues 2-1 to stay unbeaten longest in the Premier League in a market headed by odds-on pokes Manchester City and Chelsea are the shortest-priced team in England today at 2-5 to beat Stoke for the sixth successive occasion in the Premier League.
The Blues, favourites to score the most Premier League goals this weekend and 2-1 with BetVictor to notch most in the 3pm starts, have been well backed to win to nil (Stoke have failed to score on their last four trips to the Bridge) with Coral’s 5-4 now the standout best, while bet365 make the Potters 5-6 to find a way past Petr Cech in the home goal.
Chelsea are 4-1 for the title, third favourites behind both Manchester clubs, and punters will have a better idea of the shape of the title picture after this round of matches – Sunday's fixtures are the biggest day of the season so far as City take on Arsenal and United travel to Liverpool.
Everton were disappointed by some refereeing decisions in their 2-2 draw with Newcastle on Monday and Ladbrokes offer 3-1 that the Toffees have a goal disallowed at Swansea.
There are two new markets in operation for football punters this weekend with Boylesports bringing in an in-play market called ZonePlay which gives their clients the chance to bet on how the next stoppage will occur and anyone who places a £10 bet on Sunday’s live games will have the same amount to use as a free bet on ZonePlay.
“We’ve launched it for cricket, tennis and football” said Boyles’ Leon Blanche “and we think it could make a major impact on the in-play market.”
BetVictor have a spincast – a treble on the match result, over/under goals and anytime scorer – and a £5 bet placed this weekend will see clients pick up a free bet on next week’s football.
