Ill Sturridge 3-1 to top GB Olympic goal charts

HOSPITALISED Chelsea star Daniel Sturridge is still 3-1 with BetVictor to be Team GB's top scorer in the upcoming London Olympics.

Sturridge, who has viral meningitis, scored 13 goals for Chelsea last season when they won the FA Cup and Champions League and only just missed out on being part of Roy Hodgson's England Euro 2o12 party.

He is followed in BetVictor's betting at 5-1 by veteran Liverpool and Wales forward Craig Bellamy and sprightly Swansea striker Scott Sinclair.

Bolton's Marvin Sordell is something of a shock entry on the list at 6-1 despite not scoring a single goal for the Trotters since joining them in January from Watford.

Ryan Giggs can be backed at 8-1.

Scotland and Huddersfield striker Jordan Rhodes is understood to be among the names on GB manager Stuart Pearce's standby list.
