Gunners eased to 12-1 for title after RVP deal snub

ROBIN VAN PERSIE has been cut to 11-10 from 6-4 with Ladbrokes to sign for Manchester City before the end of the transfer window after the Arsenal striker announced on Wednesday that he will not be signing a new contract at the Emirates.

The 28-year-old Dutchman’s current Gunners deal has another season to run but he said on his website that after meeting
manager Arsene Wenger and chief executive Ivan Gazidis they could not agree on the direction they wanted to see the club going.

Van Persie won the Premier League Golden Boot last season after scoring 30 goals in 37 league appearances and Paddy Power go 4-7 that Manchester City will be his next club. He is 9-2 to join Juventus and 11-2 to move to Old Trafford.

Ladbrokes have pushed Arsenal out to 12-1 from 10-1 to win the Premier League next season, as have Blue Square from 9-1, while City have been trimmed to 13-10 from 11-8 to make a successful defence.
