Game over for Germany with super Mario slashed

ITALY are 8-5 with bet365 and Boylesports to see off Spain in Sunday's Euro 2012 final and lift the title for the second time after Mario Balotelli fired them to a 2-1 triumph over Germany in Thursday's semi-final.

The compelling striker is 5-4 from 50-1 to win the Golden Boot – he's currently joint-top scorer on three goals with fellow Marios Gomez and Mandzukic, plus Cristiano Ronaldo and Alan Dzagoev.

Bookmakers were quick to hail it as a great result – some calling it their best of the tournament – with Germany well-backed outright as well as on the night.

Spain are 4-7 with Blue Square to retain their trophy.

Andrea Pirlo was chopped to 7-4 by Hills to be named player of the tournament. They go 10-1 that Balotelli has left Manchester City by the start of next season.
