Federer out in Paris as Nadal cuts it fine
ROGER FEDERER was sensationally dumped out of the Paris Masters on Wednesday night on a day when Rafael Nadal stayed in the tournament by the skin of his teeth.

However, Frenchman Benneteau turned the match around to upset the world No. 1 3-6 7-6 6-4 and progress to athird-round date with Gael Monfils on Thursday.
Andy Murray, who was still playing his first-round match against James Blake at 1.45am on Thursday morning French time, was the new 7-2 favourite the wake of Federer’s defeat.
The Scot beat the American 6-3 6-7 7-6.
Nadal was backed at 100-1 to beat Nicolas Almagro during their all-Spanish battle on Wednesday and the Pearl of Manacor, who saved five match points before coming through 3-6 7-6 7-5, has been matched at the magic 1,000 figure on Betfair to win the title.
Boylesports and Sportingbet are betting in-running on the reshuffled outright market while the third-round is in progress.
And, with Nikolay Davydenko and Robin Soderling on the show court, Andy Murray is the 10-3 favourite with Sportingbet.
Sportingbet are biggest too about Novak Djokovic at 4-1.
Both firms are 5-1 about Nadal.
However, there is a massive divergence of opinion on the chances of Juan Martin Del Potro. Boylesports go just 4-1 but Sportingbet are 7-1.
It is 8-1 bar.
