England 4-5 to complete 4-0 success over Aussies
ENGLAND have enjoyed three comprehensive wins over Australia in the one-day series and they are 4-5 to complete a 4-0 victory at Old Trafford on Tuesday.
The weather is likely to have a major say in Manchester as the forecast is for steady rain but England are aiming for a tenth straight one-day win and the Aussies look there for the taking.
Opening batsman Shane Watson and experienced pace bowler Brett Lee have flown home nursing calf injuries and Michael Clarke’s side looked physically and mentally shattered after their eight-wicket defeat in Durham on Saturday.
England, in contrast, are full of beans with Ian Bell, a 7-2 shot to top-score for England, relishing his new role as one-day opener and Steven Finn in lethal form with the new ball.
