England 4-5 for clean sweep after Lord's win

ENGLAND are just 1-33 to win the three-Test series against West Indies after holding firm to win the opener at Lord's by five wickets on Monday and 4-5 to win it 3-0.

And although Andrew Strauss's top-ranked side had slipped to 57-4 in pursuit of a target of 191 before a 132-run stand between Alastair Cook and Ian Bell all but saw them home, bookmakers believe they will now secure the series with a match to spare.

The Three Lions are just 4-9 to win the next game that starts on Friday in Nottingham. The Windies are 10-1 to level matters
at Trent Bridge and the draw can be backed at 7-2.

Those prices are not far off the St John's Wood match odds and the early East Midlands weather forecast has three mostly sunny days before showers return on Monday and Tuesday.

Trent Bridge is the county home ground of Lord's man of the match Stuart Broad (11-1 with bet365), who is now 4-11 from 10-3 to be top England series wicket-taker after his 11-wicket HQ haul.

James Anderson has three victims from Lord's and he cannot be ruled out of overtaking Broad with a record of 33 wickets in his five Nottingham Tests.

This is reflected in the early top England second Test first innings wicket-taker lists where Anderson is a 9-4 favourite with Broadat 11-4 and spinner Graeme Swann at 3-1.

The England series batting lists is an open affair though, with Lord's first-innings centurion Strauss 9-2 with Hills to repeat the feat, and Cook and Bell at 3-1 and 7-2 respectively.

In contrast, Shiv Chanderpaul is 4-9 to be top Windies series batsman after his two standfast fifties at Lord's, while Kemar Roach is 11-10 with Hills to be top Windies series wicket-taker following his six HQ wickets and fiery second-innings spells.

West Indies are now 16-1 to draw the series and 50-1 to stun England with a 2-1 triumph.

Ladbrokes reported refunding £35,000 in losing match bets to punters after Strauss top-scored in England's first-innings.

At Trent Bridge, losing match bets with Ladbrokes will be returned if Broad is man of the match again.
