England 10-3 outsiders to score most on Monday

EXPECTATIONS of the England team might not be what they once were but that hasn't stopped Monday night's match against France from attracting more betting interest than any other game in 2012.

Hills are predicting turnover to outstrip the Champions League final and this season's Manchester derby at the Etihad Stadium.

Over £15million is expected to be staked on the match worldwide, with both teams attracting plenty of backing over the last 24 hours.

Hills have reported a late surge of backing for the England victory at 11-5 and anticipate business to remain brisk throughout the day.

Support for France also remains strong with Ladbrokes cutting their odds from 6-4 to 7-5 but England have been nibbled at on the outright market and are a best-priced 14-1 from 15-1.

Roy Hodgson is expected to go with a conservative starting line up featuring Stewart Downing and James Milner on the flanks, perhaps explaining why bet365 make the Three Lions the 10-3 outsiders in their market on which of Group D's teams will score the most goals on Monday.

The firm make Ukraine the 9-4 favourites, with France at 12-5 and Sweden at 3-1.
