Double swoop sees Zenit slashed for Euro glory

MONEY talks and Zenit’s amazing double transfer swoop has seen them slashed across the industry to win the Champions League following the remarkable signings of Hulk and Alex Witsel from Portuguese football.

Freely available at 100-1 and bigger prior to the new signings for a fee in excess of £60m, Zenit are now as low as 50-1 and best at 80-1 to be crowned the kings of Europe.

Hulk has scored 41 league goals for Porto in 55 games since the start of the 2010-11 campaign, while Witsel is seen as one of Europe’s most promising midfielders and was linked with Manchester United and Real Madrid before swapping Benfica for the Russian champions.

Zenit are housed in Group C and can be backed at 12-5 to top the section ahead of Milan, Malaga and Anderlecht and bet365 make Luciano Spalletti side 1-2 to qualify for the knockout phase.

Meanwhile, Hulk is 50-1 with Ladbrokes for the Golden Boot in a market predictably headed by four-time winner Lionel Messi at 2-1 with Hills.
