Chelsea sign Brazil ace
CHELSEA are unmoved at 5-1 to win the Premier League after they announced the signing of Oscar from Brazilian club Internacional for a fee believed to be in the region of £25m on Wednesday.
The Brazil international, who will be the playmaker for the Samba Stars at the Olympics, joins a stellar cast list of attacking midfielders at Stamford Bridge alongside fellow new signings Eden Hazard and Marko Marin plus Juan Mata already at the west London club.
Oscar, who will be 21 in September, prefers the No. 10 position centrally behind a main forward but can play wide and may be asked to occupy a position on the right. Whatever happens, Fernando Torres must be licking his lips at the prospect of getting outstanding service and the Spanish striker is 11-1 with BetVictor to win the Premier League’s Golden Boot.
The Champions League winners mean business this summer but they are 16-1 to retain their European trophy, a price which suggests they are the third most likely Premier League side to win the competition behind 7-1 shots Manchester City and 12-1 pokes Manchester United.
Chelsea were chasing Luka Modric 12 months ago but they are not in the running this time around, although the Croat is 3-1 to still be at Tottenham after the transfer window closes.
