Carroll linked with Reds exit

ANDY CARROLL is 5-2 with Ladbrokes to make a move back to former club Newcastle after Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers said he is considering sending the England striker out on loan.

Hills go 11-4, from 4-1, that the striker leaves Anfield on a permanent move by the end of the summer transfer window.

Roma striker Fabio Borini, who has worked with Rodgers at both Chelsea and Swansea, is just 2-7 to sign for Liverpool before the window shuts so Carroll may be deemed surplus to requirements.

He moved to Liverpool for £35m in January 2011 but has struggled to justify the hefty price tag. The 6ft 3in striker has scored just six league goals for the Reds and there are concerns over how he will fit into Rodgers’ passing style of football.

Ladbrokes make him 6-5 to still be at Anfield at the end of the transfer window.

Newcastle are not the only club reportedly interested in the striker. Both Milan and QPR are 5-1 in Ladbrokes’ market on his next club while Stoke, whose physical style would appear to suit Carroll, are 7-1.

Carroll is a general 33-1 to win the Golden Boot next season.
