It’s just two weeks until Euro 2012 kicks off in Poland and with England facing their first friendly under Roy Hodgson in Norway on Saturday, Hills fancy that Liverpool’s Andy Carroll will get the chance to impress.
Hodgson indicated that Wayne Rooney, who is suspended for the first two group games in Ukraine, will not be taking part in the game and Carroll is 1-6 with the firm to get the nod. Tottenham’s Jermain Defoe is 6-4.
An uncapped trio of Martin Kelly, John Ruddy and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have made the trip and Hills go 2-1 that all three will see some playing time.
The Three Lions then entertain Belgium at Wembley and the FA has announced they will be experiment with a form of goal-line technology during the friendly.
There is a disagreement as to how it might catch on. Hills go just 2-1 that it will be introduced into the Premier League by the start of next season – it is 4-11 not to be – while Ladbrokes go 12-1 it comes in at the start of the season and 7-2 it is implemented during the campaign.
