Carroll heads Liverpool into FA Cup final

LIVERPOOL are one game away from winning both major
domestic cups for the first time since 2001 after Andy Carroll’s
late header helped them come from behind to defeat Everton in
yesterday’s FA Cup semi-final.

Carroll has taken plenty of stick since his £35million switch from
Newcastle but he grabbed the winner in Tuesday’s 3-2 victory at
Blackburn and rounded off a superb week at Wembley by
rising highest to nod home Craig Bellamy’s 86th-minute free-kick.

Liverpool have been slashed to 5-4 to win the cup and Carroll is 12-1
with Hills to be man-of-the-match in the final.

The Reds had fallen behind to a first half Nikica Jelavic goal and
they were backed at a Betfair high of 10 towin inside normal time
before Luis Suarez levelled the scores in the 62nd minute.
