Brisbane winner Murray 6-4 to break Slam duck

ANDY MURRAY is 6-4 with bet365 to break his Grand Slam duck this year after opening up his competitive season with victory in the Brisbane International on Sunday.

Tournament top seed Murray thumped event third seed Alex Dolgopolov 6-1 6-3 to show he is in fine fettle, with Ivan Lendl as his new coach, eight days before the Australian Open starts andLadbrokes have clipped the world No. 4 to 4-1 for glory in Melbourne. However, 5-1 is still widely available.

Hills, who offer punters the chance to bet on the number of Slams won by each of the big four not just Murray, go 8-13 that they triumph in all four majors and 6-5 that their current stranglehold is ended.

And world No. 1 Novak Djokovic, current possessor of the Aussie, Wimbledon and US crowns, is just 33-1 to win all four and the Olympics too.

Djokovic is 4-6 with Hills to still top the rankings at the end of the year. Rafael Nadal is 9-4 to take over and Federer is 5-1, with Murray at 12-1.
