Bookmakers suspend England boss betting

BOOKMAKERS suspended betting on the next England manager
market on Sunday night after the FA confirmed that they are in talks with Roy Hodgson about the role.

Hodgson, 6-1 for the job as recently as 7pm, was immediately heavily backed before layers quickly suspended prices.

The FA said West Brom’s Hodgson was “the only manager we have approached.”

The news will come as a major blow to punters who had backed Tottenham manager and long-time favourite Harry Redknapp to take up the reigns of the Three Lions.

Redknapp had been available at around 1-2 for several months.
