Best injury hits hopes of immediate Rovers return
Blackburn's hopes of making an immediate return to the Premier League have been hit by a long-term injury to new signing Leon Best.
The Ireland striker, signed from Newcastle this summer, could be out for six months after damaging cruciate knee ligaments in a friendly against AEK Athens.
Rovers are 12-1 to win the Championship and 4-1 to gain promotion but Best, who had been 14-1 to be the division's top scorer, will be sorely missed.
