Barton 5-2 to exit Loftus Road during this window
JOEY BARTON is 5-2 with Ladbrokes to leave QPR before the end of the August transfer window after he was stripped of the club captaincy on Monday.
Barton is also being fined six weeks wages by the west London outfit as a result of his actions in QPR's final Premier League game of last seasaon at Manchester City, when he was shown a red card and then subsequently kicked out at City striker Sergio Aguero, which resulted in a 12-game ban from the Football Association.
Club CEO Phillip Beard has stated that Barton's behaviour was "completely unacceptable" as the club made their "feelings on this matter known to him" and Ladbrokes also offer 4-1 about his contract being terminated in the upcoming top-flight campaign.
Barton said of his behaviour and the disciplinary action taken : "My behaviour was wrong and I accept the punishment that has been imposed upon me as a result."
He is 100-1 with Ladbrokes to win the PFA player of the year award although the 10-11 that the firm have chalked up about no Barton red cards is more likely to appeal as betting value about the possibilities of a reformed character. He was not sent off for Newcastle in 35 appearances in all competitions in the 2009-10 campaign.
After narrowly avoiding relegation by one point last season, Blue Square and Coral have QPR at 4-1 for the drop but Hills go 5-1 about the London club being relegated next May.
