Euro kings Barcelona gain first-leg advantage

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE favourites Barcelona took a stranglehold over their last-16 tie on Tuesday night with a 3-1 win at Bayer Leverkusen.

The competition holders had two goals from Alexis Sanchez and a late strike from Lionel Messi to thank for helping them to victory, while Michal Kadlec found the net  for the Bundesliga outfit.

Barca are just 11-10 for outright glory with BetVictor, while Lyon dominated the first leg of their tie against Apoel Nicosia but only had an Alex Lacazette goal to show for their efforts in a 1-0 win.
