AVB 9-4 to steer Spurs to better finish than Blues

ANDRE VILLAS-BOAS signed on as Tottenham's new manager on Tuesday afternoon and is 9-4 with bet365 to steer Spurs to a higher Premier League finish than Chelsea this season.

It happened last campaign, of course, when the Stamford Bridge club sacked Villas-Boas in March after a poor run of form and the Lilywhites are 7-1 with the firm to give AVB full revenge with a maximum six-point haul from their top flight meetings this term.

Newcastle are 6-4 favourites in Hills' list on which side will inflict the first defeat of AVB's White Hart Lane tenure. They meet at St James' Park in the very first game of the campaign with Manchester United, at Old Trafford on September 29, next in the betting at 9-4.

Boylesports go 12-1 about AVB being named manager of the year but also chalk him at 8-1 to have been sacked by Christmas.
