Adkins backed to be first Premier League boss out
SOUTHAMPTON boss Nigel Adkins has been supported in the Premier League's managerial sack race and his price more than halved on Wednesday.
Coral and Hills had Adkins at 8-1 before the start of the day but he's now as short as 7-2 with the same bookmakers. BetVictor and Blue Square have not seen the same market move and still offer punters 8-1 that he'll be first out the door this season.
Swansea's Michael Laudrup and West Ham's Sam Allardyce were the 6-1 favourites with some bookies but their prices have been unaffected by the money for Adkins.
The Saints boss has been in charge at St Mary's for nearly two years and has already achieved back-to-back promotions, winning 60 of his 98 games so far.
