FullTilt backing for C4 Late Night Poker

THE sponsorship merry-go-round within poker continues, with FullTiltPoker.com taking over sponsorship of the Channel 4 classic, Late Night Poker.

The online poker site fronted by a host of big-name American players, including Chris Ferguson and Howard Lederer, recently announced their sponsorship
of the Poker Million.

The news has been greeted with caution by some professional players and forum posters fearful that the competitions will feature only FullTilt sponsored players
and online qualifiers from their site.

Meanwhile, the Irish Poker Championships, staged in January, is on the lookout for a new sponsor following PartyPoker.com's withdrawal after a two-year association with the event.

FullTilt's name has already been mooted as a potential new sponsor for the competition, played in Galway's Radisson Hotel.
