Sariska among Oaks ten - but Dar Re Mi absent

Dar Re Mi, Sariska's conqueror in last year's Group 1, was the highest-profile absentee for the day three Ebor festival highlightover 1m4f.

However, the race could still have plenty of prestige with the last two Investec Oaks winners - Snow Fairy and Sariska - on course for an intriguing clash of the generations.

Other notable entries include the Dermot Weld-trained Profound Beauty, a general 16-1 chance for the Emirates Airline Melbourne Cup, Goldophin pair Hibaayeb and Flying Cloud and the David Lanigan-trained Meeznah.

On the same day, impressive Queen Mary Stakes winner Maqaasid, a 20-1 shot with most firms for next year's 1,000 Guineas, heads an entry of just eight possibles for the Group 2 Jaguar Cars Lowther Stakes.
