Wonderfully makes all for Silver Flash success

Report: Leopardstown, Thursday

Silver Flash Stakes (Group 3) 7f, 2yo fillies

WONDERFULLY bounced back from defeat in the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot when making all to comfortably land the Group 3 Silver Flash at Leopardstown.

The Aidan O'Brien-trained filly was fitted with a visor following her disappointing seventh place to Kiyoshi at Ascot and duly responded as she reversed the form with Heart Focus who finished fourth in the Albany.

The full sister to Mars led from start to finish and kicked on in the final two furlongs and never really looked like getting beat despite stablemate Perhaps staying on in the final furlong.

Paddy Power have made the filly 25-1 for next year's 1,000 Guineas.

Royal Diamond (red and white cap): led from start to finish

Leopardstown: Challenge Stakes (Listed Race), 1m6f, 3yo+

ROYAL DIAMOND, trained and ridden by Johnny Murtagh, slammed his rivals in domineering fashion as last year's Irish St Leger winner led from start to finish to land the valuable Listed race.

The classy seven-year-old, who has an entry for this year's Irish Leger, went off at a fast pace and the rest of the field struggled to respond, leaving the King's Best gelding over ten lengths clear going into the final furlong.

Murtagh eased the 5-4 favourite through the final stages going on to score by a comfortable three and three quarter lengths.
