Wolverhampton forced to abandon meeting
MONDAY'S meeting at Wolverhampton has been abandoned due to snow on the track.
Officials at the track had given the meeting every opportunity by calling two inspections on Monday morning following an inch of snow overnight.
The first of which took place at 8.30am and the second at 10.30am. However, temperatures failed to rise in time and snow remains on the track.
"Unfortunately the meeting is off. Conditions have improved but the track is still unraceable and there is an area in front of the stands which is not going to improve sufficiently to be fit for racing," said clerk of the course Fergus Cameron.
The only live action in Britain on Monday comes from Lingfied Park, which gets on the way at 1.15pm.
