Punters get stuck into quality card at Doncaster

DONCASTER hosts an intriguing Champion Hurdle trial today but the rest of the fixture is not short on quality and there are a couple of interesting market moves to note.

Utopie Des Bordes, who defeated Racing Post Arkle prospect Fago on her last outing at Auteuil in November, makes her debut for Nicky Henderson in the opening novice hurdle and has been backed (as low as 2-7) as if defeat is out of the question.

Later on the card, the competitive 2m3f handicap chase sets a real puzzle for punters with Betfred going 5-1 about four co-favourites. Those for money include Be My Deputy (from 11) and Quapriland (from 7).

Alan King has three runners on the card and his assistant Noel Williams ‏(@noelwilliams03) was in caution mood when tweeting: "Call Me A Star, Custer Of The West and Ali Baba running at Doncaster today. Might struggle for a winner but all should hopefully run well."
