WINCANTON is aiming to take the strain out of attending the Cheltenham Gold Cup and John Smith's Grand National by bringing the events to Somerset. On both daysthe course will open for a three-course lunch, before the action is shown in a big screen, with Tote betting available.
Cost is £35 (£30 for annual members). Tickets can be booked on 01963 32344.
Wincanton MD Steven Clarke says: "All racing enthusiasts love the festivals but it can be exhausting dealing with heavy traffic and crowded public areas, and it comes at a premium price.
"We're offering an easy alternative, in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere, where local racegoers can enjoy the action at a fraction of the cost."
