Willy Twiston-Davies misses rides with bruises
JOCKEY Willy Twiston-Davies missed his rides at Cheltenham on New Year's Day after suffering bruising in a fall at Warwick the previous day.
Twiston-Davies, 17, sustained bruising to his legs when falling from Fiorenza at the first in the 2m5f mares' novice hurdle but is expected back within a few days.
His agent Chris Broad said: "He's got a bit of bruising on his legs and he was a bit lame so didn't pass the doctor. It's not serious but he's just not 100 per cent. He should be back in a couple of days."
Twiston-Davies suffered ill-luck with injuries last season, breaking his left leg in a fall at Stratford before fracturing his collarbone soon after returning.
Writing on Twitter, he said: "Very annoyed not to be riding today, let's hope 2012 will be a better year with better luck!"
