WITH the track already frozen and temperatures of -6C forecast overnight, Wetherby was forced to concede there was no chance of its Saturday fixture going ahead.
Clerk of the course Jonjo Sanderson said: "Unfortunately it was not a hard decision. Parts of the course are still frozen solid at the temperature is dropping all the time.
"We were not raceable at first-race time today and with 13 hours of freezing temperatures, reaching as low as -6C, there's very little chance of us being raceable come the time of the fi rst race tomorrow."
The meeting has been scheduled to host the Grade 2 Towton Novices' Chase.
